Dalia's Bat Mitzvah Project

My name is Dalia Bekritsky. I am celebrating my bat mitzvah. I have been learning Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers) and in the first chapter it says, "אם אין אני לי מי לי? וכשאני לעצמי, מה אני? ואם לא עכשיו אימתי? (If I am not for me, who is for me? And when I am for myself what am I? And if not now, when) This means we should be responsible for ourselves and our actions, but also to help others. And we should help others now.

I am very lucky to be able to celebrate my bat mitzvah, but there are a lot of kids that are going through hard times now. I wanted to do something to help them. I think it's important to make people happy especially in these times. I want to help them feel not alone. I want to share my happiness with other kids and families that are going through difficult times. Please consider donating to this amazing organization. Thank you!
