Yad Vashem is hosting a school for 350 displaced children from the south of Israel. These kids have all experienced trauma and come from different communities.
Our first project is to provide light jackets for the entire school. The weather is turning cooler and many of these kids left home with nothing. The school staff also felt that the matching jackets with logos will help build a sense of community.
We will also be using these funds to buy toys and throw Chanukah parties for families with young children who have a parent serving in the army.
